Choosing Between the Different Kinds of Florida Keys Fishing Trips

It’s important to decide in advance the type and length of the Florida Keys charter you would like to take. There are many different categories of deep sea fishing, and most charter boats are designed to accomplish a certain type of fishing.

Some vessels are built to fish many miles offshore, and come equipped with luxuries like air-conditioned cabins and toilets. While other boats, like flats skiffs, are built to stay inshore and fish the shallow water flats or in the backcountry.

Below is a list of the different types of trips available and a brief description of what you might catch on one of these trips. Keep in mind that you are not necessarily limited to one type of fishing or another and many captains will be willing to fish for a variety of different species depending on what’s biting at the time.
